During another technology course we were asked to use Edpuzzle to create a video lesson for our students. This is a simple one I created for my Kinders about the butterfly life cycle. It says You Tube on the video because I originally used a video from there but this video is imported from Edpuzzle using the embed code tool on Weebly.
I think that keeping the SAMR Model and rubric in mind while I work on my blog is very important. While the purpose of my blog is informative and sharing information - I feel like it won't reach far beyond augmentation. In Kindergarten my students aren't really ready to blog themselves at the beginning of the year. However; I do want to keep the SAMR model in mind as the year (and hopefully my blog!) progresses. It would be fun to allow students to take ownership of our classroom blog but I feel like to start out they are going to have to interact with it on a pretty basic level. Blogs need to be flexible and evolve, right?
Thank you for stopping by this blog! I am excited for this coming school year and to have a new way to communicate with the students and their families. On this blog I hope to post once per week. Each blog post will have a quick update of upcoming projects and events, a short recap of our week, and some pictures of what we have been doing.
Kindergarten is such an exciting year. I can't wait until August to meet all of you and start our learning journey together! Until then, here is a link to a fun website with some learning games for you. Click here. |
